Oreo Cookie's Story

Hi there — my name is Oreo Cookie. I'm a 3-year-old terrier blend girl who weighs 14 lbs. And like the actual cookie, I too am very sweet! I'm a self-proclaimed “Wiggle Butt” with puppy-like energy. I'm curious and a social butterfly who would love to find my forever home where my new human(s) are home more often than not.

Favorite Things: Oreo Cookie LOVES being close to her people, playing with toys and chewing on bones. She also loves to snuggle and follow her people around.

Training & Manners: This adventurous girl is housetrained in her foster home and will let you know when she needs to go outside. She is a smart cookie (pun intended) who could benefit from continued training on leash walking and with her basic manners. She has a lot of energy, but once she settles down, she becomes a couch potato next to you. She tolerates riding in a car.

Health and Care: Oreo Cookie is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. She will just need her monthly flea/heartworm preventative, like all dogs. No fancy grooming required for this short-haired gal; just occasional baths and nail trims will help her feel and look her best.

Other Animals: Oreo Cookie has experience with playful dogs and would do well in a home with a higher-energy dog who matches her play style. She could also be the only dog in the home, as long as she gets plenty of playtime and exercise. She has no experience with cats, but we don't think a feline friend would be best for her.

Children: This adventurous gal has no experience with children. Due to her rough play style and jumpiness, respectful older kids (8 +/teens) would be best.

Ideal Home: Oreo Cookie is not a fan of being left home alone and will communicate that when you leave. A single-family home with no shared walls with neighbors would be best. Ever so curious, she always wants to know what is happening outside when a door is open. For that reason, a home with a fenced yard would be her dream home. After a day of play, she is content to snuggle up in the “people bed” at night.

Overall: If you're looking for a sweet, snuggle-bug with a zest for life, Oreo Cookie might be your perfect match. Visit www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org and submit an adoption application. If it looks like a good fit, her foster family will reach out with more information. Her adoption donation is $475.
