Oreo's Story

Hi, my name is Oreo and I'm a handsome Lab mix looking for my forever home. I'm interested in a home that has a fenced-in back yard, so I have a safe place to run and call my own. I love treats and getting belly rubs. I'm young and full of energy so I would prefer to be in a home with a family who can keep up. I do suffer from a lonely heart so I would do best in a home with someone who works from home or is retired. It's unknown if I like cats or not but I have lived in a home with children and I could live with other dogs. I play with all kinds of toys, stuffed, hard, bouncy, and squeaky you name it I love it! During my time here at the shelter I didn't participate much in play groups, I was off having my own little adventures with the toy bin. I'm very eager to be in a home so I can show my new family how great of a dog I truly am. I have been neutered, up to date with all vaccines including rabies, wormed, tested negative for Heartworms, and microchipped.<br/><br/>Note: To adopt, you must live within approximately 100 miles of one of our adoption sites (Benld or Springfield IL), and be at least 18 years of age.

Benld Adopt-A-Pet's Adoption Policy

To adopt you must live within 100 miles of one of our adoption sites (Benld, O’Fallon or Springfield IL), and be at least 18 years of age. We require that you be physically present to make the final adoption arrangements. We also require that all cats be kept indoors, and that all dogs be kept or live indoors, with a secure fenced-in yard or pen for when they are outside, unless otherwise discussed and mutually agreed upon ahead of time. Failure to comply with any of these requirements may constitute sufficient grounds for our reclaiming the adopted animal. In order to adopt, you must first complete an Adoption Inquiry, and upon approval, an Adoption Agreement.
