Oreo's Story

Oreo is an approximately 2-3 year old female Australian Cattle Dog (Heeler) who was found abandoned in rural White Swan. Despite her tough start, this beautiful girl has the gentlest soul imaginable. With her classic black-and-white "Oreo cookie" coloring, soulful eyes, and soft expression, she's as adorable on the outside as she is on the inside.

Oreo is the epitome of sweet and good-natured. She's incredibly submissive in the best way—she just wants to be loved, to be your very best friend, and to soak up every bit of affection you have to give. She'll follow you from room to room, happy to be wherever you are, whether that's curled up on the couch binge-watching your favorite shows or snuggled right next to you in bed (her absolute favorite spots!).

This wonderful girl gets along beautifully with:
• Other dogs
• Kids
• Pretty much everyone she meets, but would prefer a home with children 12 and older

She's already housetrained, crate trained, and leash trained, so she fits easily into most homes. While she enjoys a nice walk, Oreo's true happiness comes from quiet companionship and closeness—she's not a high-energy working dog looking for a job; she's a lover looking for her forever person (or family) to adore.

If you're searching for a loyal, gentle, low-drama companion who will repay every ounce of love tenfold, Oreo is your girl. She deserves a home filled with patience, cuddles, and the security of knowing she'll never be dumped again.

Could Oreo be the sweet, velvety-eared best friend you've been waiting for? If so, she can't wait to curl up next to you and prove that the best things really do come in small, wiggly, black-and-white packages.

If you think Oreo may be the one for you, please go to our website at www.wagstorichesanimalrescue.org and fill out an application to adopt. Please be sure to include a vet reference as regular vet care is important to us for the health of all our adopted dogs. With approval and a $295 adoption donation, she will be ready to accompany you on all of life’s many adventures! Oreo is spayed, microchipped, fecal tested clean of internal parasites and up to date on all her vaccinations, including rabies.
