Orange's Story

Meet Orange – Your Future Best Friend

Hi there! My name is Orange, and I’m a 10‑month‑old pup with a heart full of love and a nose that’s always ready for adventure. I may not know exactly where I came from, but I sure know where I want to go: straight into the arms of my forever family.

Let me tell you a little bit about me. Back in August, my brother Tangerine and I found ourselves at the pound. We don’t remember how we got there—life as a stray is kind of a blur—but we waited and waited for someone to come claim us. Nobody ever did. We stayed there until December, hoping for a miracle, and then one day, Central Arizona Animal Rescue stepped in and gave me a second chance. That’s where I am now, safe and sound, wagging my tail and dreaming about the day I finally get to go home.

I’m what you might call a “mystery mix.” Nobody knows exactly what breeds are in me, but I like to think I’m a one‑of‑a‑kind original. My coat is short and sleek, with a touch of brindle coloring on my legs and sprinkled across my body—like nature painted me with a little extra flair. Sometimes the photos don’t show it off, but in person, you’ll see how unique I really am.

At 10 months old, I’m still very much a puppy: curious, playful, and full of energy. I love other dogs and get along well with them, so if you already have a furry friend at home, I’d be thrilled to meet them. Cats? Well, I haven’t had the chance to test that out yet, so we’ll have to see. As for house training, I’m still figuring things out, but with patience and consistency, I know I can learn. After all, I’m smart, eager to please, and motivated by treats and belly rubs.

Here’s the good news: I’m already neutered, up to date on all my vaccinations, and microchipped. That means I’m healthy, safe, and ready to start my new life without delay. All I need now is someone who sees me not just as “another rescue dog,” but as the loyal companion I’m destined to be.

What’s life like with me? Picture this:

Waking up to a happy pup who greets you with tail wags and kisses.

Going for walks where I sniff every blade of grass and remind you to slow down and enjoy the little things.

Playing fetch or tug‑of‑war in the yard, my goofy puppy grin making you laugh every time.

Curling up beside you after a long day, my warm body pressed against yours, reminding you that you’re never alone.

I may not have a fancy pedigree, but I have something even better: a heart that’s ready to love unconditionally. I’ve already proven I’m resilient—I survived being a stray, I endured months at the pound, and I came out the other side still hopeful, still trusting, and still wagging my tail. Imagine what I could do with a family who believes in me.

I promise to be your loyal sidekick, your adventure buddy, and your comfort on tough days. I’ll make you laugh with my silly antics, and I’ll melt your heart with my puppy eyes. I’ll remind you that love doesn’t have to be perfect—it just has to be real.

So, what do you say? Are you ready to give me the forever home I’ve been waiting for? I’ll be here at Central Arizona Animal Rescue until that special someone walks through the door. If you’d like to meet me, please send an email to mike@caaronline.org to set up an appointment.

I’m Orange, and I can’t wait to meet you.
