Opie's Story

This sweet Husky was found at Animal Control, dangerously close to euthanasia. When we heard he had a sponsor, we knew we had to step in and give him the second chance he deserved.

When Opie arrived, he was in heartbreaking condition — severely matted to the skin, and clearly neglected. We got right to work helping him feel comfortable and safe again. Unfortunately, some areas had to be shaved, which is never ideal for a Huskys coat, but it was necessary to relieve his pain and start fresh. We also learned Opie is Heartworm Positive, so we have partnered with our veterinarian to get him on the best road to recovery!

Now, Opie is finally able to rest, eat, and begin healing. Hes already showing us glimpses of the sweet, resilient spirit beneath all that hardship. With time, care, and love, we know hes going to shine again — just like the beautiful Husky he was always meant to be!

Opie is currently being fostered in Tennessee.
Transport available for Mississippi, Arkansas, Tennessee, Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, & Connecticut for approved adopters!
