Opal - sweet baby girl, sister of Cobalt!'s Story
Our little girl Opal was found stray with her equally adorable brother Cobalt, and they were brought to a very overcrowded shelter.

Both pups are healing from injuries, we don't know what happened. For Opal, her front leg bends a little funny, but she has no pain, and is being treated with some physical therapy and anti-inflammatory meds, and we think she'll be just fine! She runs and plays like any happy little pup, even now!

Opal is very sweet, snuggly, attentive, affectionate and SMART!

She and Cobalt, who we guess are Shepherd mixes, even at their young age seem to have that focused intelligence the breed is known for, so we want them to go to homes that will properly train them, and give them the structure, love, and activity that will help them thrive! No different than what we want for all our pups!

These babies are being raised in a wonderful foster home with kids, dogs and a cat, so they are being exposed to all and doing great with all!

Because she needs to finish her puppy booster shots, at this time Opal can ONLY be adopted to a home with a private fenced yard. Once her vaccines are done, that will not be an absolute requirement, but still preferred. Her spay and rabies vaccine will be covered by the Rescue, even if she's adopted before they are complete.

We do *require* that someone is home the majority of the day on a regular basis for young puppies! They cannot be properly trained and socialized if sitting home alone all day. This is not negotiable.

Finally, we will give priority to applicants that already have a friendly dog in the home. Young puppies benefit from having another dog to learn from, play with, etc. This is not an absolute requirement, but a preference.

So, if you are ready to take an exceptional little girl into your life, and are committed to raising her, loving her, and providing for her needs, please copy and paste the following link into your browser to submit an application!

https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/GARP/Dog

Please also follow us on Facebook to keep up with all our Pals, upcoming events, and announcements!

https://www.facebook.com/share/ahFTecYpLt3bLPkf/?mibextid=qi2Omg
