Opal's Story

Opal is a friendly girl and she enjoys pets. She would happily get in your lap if it is allowed. Opal was in a foster home and is crate trained. She is still young with a birth date of 1/12/22 and she has a lot of puppy in her. She enjoys playing with other dogs, but she is a loves hard plays hard kind of gal - so she can be too much for some dogs. She enjoys being active as well as cuddling on the couch. She weighs about 45 pounds and she is probably a loving mix of a bunch of different breeds. Opal is up to date on her shots, spayed and microchipped. Opal is looking for an inside home with people that will shower her with love.

She is currently part of the Ferry Tail Program with Ferry Good Dog Training. They train a rescue dog from the local rescues and put them through a 4 week on and off leash program to make them more adoptable. What she lacks in size she makes up for in energy and personality. She plays well with other dogs but plays rough as most Pitty’s do. Opal is one of those dogs that can run all day, go for a hike or sit in the couch under the blankets on a rainy day. She loves affection and would make a great addition to an active home. Her training will be complete and she will be ready to be adopted on Friday March 6th. By the end of her training she will know sit, down, implied stay, loose leash walking with an auto sit, place and an off leash recall.
***************************************************************************
This pet comes with an implanted 24 PetWatch microchip and free registration into the 24PetWatch pet recovery service.
***************************************************************************
This dog is available for adoption at the Humane Society of McCormick County is SC for an adoption fee. All of our dogs are indoor dogs with outdoor privileges. To adopt, contact 864-391-2349 or info@hsmcsc.org. We are an all-volunteer 501c3 organization. To learn more, visit www.hsmcsc.org.
