Opal's Story
We usually have a King or Queen of the adoption floor that is our longest shelter resident.
In this case, we have a couple of princesses!
They have been adoptable longer than any other dogs we currently have the shelter.
Hazel and Opal are currently residing in a foster home, but before that, they spent most of their puppyhood in the shelter. Though their whole stay wasn't confined to the shelter kennels, most of it was.
Their current fosters came to help at an adoption event and these two tough looking girls won them over with their big hearts. They can still be a bit unsure in public situations, but believe it or not, these big girls are still pups, not even a year yet!
They live the farm life in their foster home and live peacefully with cats, dogs, chickens and goats. Hazel in particular seems to love her cat friends. Hazel, the bigger of the two, thinks she is a cuddly lap dog and Opal is the smaller and more energetic of the two.
Both girls are ready to find their forever families.
