Opal's Story

Opal’s journey hasn’t been easy, but her spirit has stayed bright. She was found as a pregnant stray, and after lovingly raising her nine beautiful puppies, this devoted mama is finally ready to enjoy some well-deserved love, comfort, and relaxation of her own.

Opal is a friendly, playful, and affectionate girl who quickly wins over everyone she meets. She has done wonderfully with children, greeting them with her gentle tail wags and warm demeanor. One of her absolute favorite activities is playing fetch—whether it’s a ball or her favorite squeaky toy, Opal is always up for a game and loves showing off her happy zoomies in the yard. When playtime is over, she’s perfectly content to stretch out and soak up the sunshine or lean in for pets from her favorite people.

Opal is heartworm positive, but don’t let that worry you—her full treatment is completely covered by the Humane Society, and she’s ready to start healing and thriving in her new home.

This sweet, loyal girl has given so much. Now it’s her turn.
If you’re looking for a loving, joyful companion who will brighten your days with her playful energy and tender heart, Opal is waiting for you.
