She loves running the fence line with the neighbor dogs, and she's a total toy enthusiast with a playful spirit that shines through. <br/><br/>At her vet visit after coming back to us, she was quiet and a little unsure - understandably, given how much has changed for her - but that's not who she is once she feels safe again.<br/><br/>Opal has a unique medical history: she has an 8th vertebra where most dogs have 7, which causes some mild issues in her lower back. She can walk and even run, but her activity needs to stay limited and well-managed rather than go unrestricted - she may occasionally sway or stumble on her back end, and she prefers to avoid stairs. She needs a little help getting into vehicles, and her vet has found a small amount of discomfort that's easily managed with medication and supplements. To adopt one of our furry friends, please fill the application on our website. The adoption fee varies for each dog and includes veterinarian checkup, vaccinations, heartworm testing, microchip and spay or neuter. Please give 3-4 business days for approval.
