Opal's Story

Opal

Chihuahua

Spayed female

9 years old, 8 lbs.

Opal is a senior chihuahua that tips the scales at 8.5 lbs and would

do best in a quiet home (no small children) where she is the only pet.

She might be compatible with another dog or cat as long as Opal is not

obligated to be friends. She is approximately 9 years old, has been

described as having an “old soul” and is somewhat set in her ways.

Opal is up to date on all her shots, has a microchip and is house

trained. She considers her crate to be her safe place. She knows a few

basic commands and prefers women, but will open up to men who "speak"

chihuahua. Opal does like to play, once she feels safe. She

occasionally gets the “spinners” when she is excited. She is a bit

sensitive around her head and neck, so she needs a fenced yard

(privacy preferred) because putting a collar or harness on her can be

quite stressful for all involved. Opal is not on any medications nor

does she have any conditions requiring special foods.

If you love when a big attitude comes in a little package, Opal is

worth a look!!

An adoption form is available at
nebraskanokill.org
Suggested adoption donation: $200
