Onyx's Story
Meet Onyx! She is a 1-year-old Catahoula/Lab mix with a gentle heart and a delightfully dorky personality. At first, she can be a little shy when meeting new people but give her a bit of patience and a kind voice, and you'll quickly see her sweet, loving side shine through. Once she feels safe, Onyx is all soft eyes, quiet affection, and the occasional goofy song to make you laugh. She just loves to sing. She can be a bit independent at times, happily doing her own thing around the house, but after a long day, she's more than happy to curl up beside you on the sofa for some cozy snuggles. She absolutely adores kids and is gentle and thoughtful with them, making her a lovely companion for a family.

Onyx is very cat-savvy and does great with feline friends. With other dogs, she prefers a slow introduction and a respectful pup who will give her a little space while she builds confidence. Once she realizes they're friendly, she's happy to join in the fun and play. She is currently working on building confidence while on leash, and with a little encouragement, she's making great progress. Onyx is also being treated for some skin issues that are already improving, and she's taking it all in stride like the resilient girl she is.

What Onyx really needs is a patient, loving home that will give her the time to blossom. In return, you'll get a loyal, sweet, slightly goofy best friend who will make every day a little brighter. If you think that family could be you, please call 503.366.4614 or email ccacadoptions@gmail.com. Onyx's adoption fee is $250, and she will be spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped before final adoption.
