Onyx's Story

Meet Onyx
Age: 6 months
Location: Bixby
DNA:
52.5 German Shepherd
32.5% Siberian husky
16% Mutt
Onyx is more of a protector, always guarding the perimeter of the house. He is a HUGE cuddle bug (62 pounds)he will latch on and bond very deeply to his person. He follows me around the house everywhere I go and is always laying at my feet.
Onyx is good with all people, but he will just need a slow introduction. Strangers that he hasn't met yet he will sniff their hand and take treats from them and give them a lick and be happy but he's not going to be all in immediately. He loves kidsand is great with them! He doesn't like dogs immediately in his face. He just needs a slow introduction with new dogs as well but he does great with our 3 adult dogs. Onyx does try to chase our cat. He is going be a great dog just needs patience and to go slow after he takes a second for a breather then he's perfectly fine!
This is what his foster said about Onyx and his sibling:
At home, they're both perfectly fine and calm and just pretty much lay around all day besides spurts of playing with each other . They are calm easy puppies . Both potty trained and sleep in their create . They know sit , down and pretty good with heel when you have a treat in hand . I use a clicker for them when I am working with them. They are food motivated and love treats
If you are interested in Onyx please apply to adopt at www.oklahomagsr.org
If you are already approved, please email us at oklahomagsr@gmail.com
