Onna's Story

Onna is a sweet, young purebred brown and white Newfoundland. She's ready to meet her furever family! At just over one year old, she is a bundle of love who enjoys snuggling with her people and playing with her doggie friends. She is smart, praise-motivated, and learns quickly.

Her ideal home would have active, medium to large breed playmates (as she is a little over 100 pounds herself) and a home with children 8 and up. Onna does have a history of hopping fences, so a 6’ fence is required at her new home.

Onna is Vetted, up to date on vaccination and on heart worm preventative. Because of her age, she has not been spayed. HANR has a spay/neuter clause in the adoption contract that will require her new owner to have her spayed at the age of 18 months.

Our adoption fee is $550.00 and we have a formal adoption agreement that includes a spay/neuter clause that will require signatures. $100.00 of the adoption fee will be refunded upon proof of spaying.

A fenced yard with a minimum height of 6 feet is required for adoption.

We cover Western MO., Kansas, Western IA., Nebraska, Northeastern OK, and Northeastern AR. We'll accept qualified applications out of our area from families willing to drive to meet Onna. If the meeting goes well you will be able to take Onna home with you.

Email hanrrescue@gmail.com to request an application or contact us with any questions.

To see more Newfoundland rescues or to learn more about our rescue program see our clubs website. www.hanc.net

To learn more about the Newfoundland breed, see the Newfoundland Club of America's website. www.ncanewfs.org
