One Eyed Willy's Story

HEEEEYYYY YOOOOUUUU GUUUUUUUUUUUUYYYYYYYYYSSSSSS!!!

It’s One Eye Willy! Arrrrrrr!!!! This boy hails from Southern Mississippi. He came into the shelter with his left eye detached, thinking was hit by a car (but he will cower at seeing things being shaken so who knows if he was abused). A shelter favorite, they removed the eye and he has no idea about it because his spirit sure makes up for it!

Willy is your typical Goonie:

- Young – Willy is around 11 months old. Typical puppy with a zest for life.

- Adventurous he loves going on walks and when he sees the leash his face lights up because he knows he is getting some QT with his foster dad. He is AWESOME on the leash and walks around the hood like the 45 pound boss he is. He is down to do whatever you are doing.

- Loves treasures – One Eye Willy don’t discriminate. He loves toys, shoes, socks, tomatoes. He collects them all. Very helpful Goonie with gardening.

- Goofy - He makes everyone in the home laugh. Can be a little Clutz adjusting with one eye but he’s got this.

- Sets booty traps – THAT’S WHAT I SAID BOOBY TRAPS! His treasure collection can make you trip sometimes LOL

- Small but mighty dude – He can hang with the “big kids” and can sometimes be annoying with the elder statesmen in the house. Little dude has some sass but like a Goonie is very lovable and playful.

- Smart and loves a good challenge- Willy would do awesome with some training. He is very eager to please and never turns down a treat for being a good boy. I would totally rely on him to solve a puzzle. He is also crate and house trained
Is an under dog that loves other underdogs. He will create an unexpected bond with anyone who opens their heart to him.

- Loves Ball.- He thinks he got it...He don’t got it.

- Has been Cyndi Lauper tested. Good enough. He is more a Bon Jovi guy though

*Note: Willy is being fostered in Baltimore, MD. He is being fostered for our rescue in South Mississippi which is why his profile says "out of town pet"*

If interested in meeting One Eyed Willy, please submit an application here: https://fjcasp.wufoo.com/forms/adoption-application/

Friends of Jackson County Animal Shelter Pets's Adoption Policy
At FJCASP, we dedicate a great deal of love, time, and resources to caring for our animals, and our top priority is to see them go to permanent, loving homes with people who have the knowledge and means to provide proper care. Adoption Fee: $100–$150 Vet References Required We require that all potential adopters provide veterinary references. This allows us to confirm that any current or past pets have been kept up to date on vaccinations, preventatives, and are spayed/neutered. Most veterinary offices are familiar with this request. Our goal is to ensure that our animals are placed in homes where they will remain safe, healthy, and properly cared for. Long-Term Commitment Adopting a pet is a serious, long-term commitment. We want all potential adopters to understand their responsibilities and be prepared to care for an animal for its lifetime. Home Requirements To provide a safe environment, we require that adopters provide: - Proper shelter for the animal - Understanding of how to introduce a new pet to children and existing animals -Commitment to keeping the animal as an indoor pet Adoption Approval All adoptions must be finalized and approved by the FJCASP Board. This ensures oversight by experienced individuals who can confirm that all parties understand their responsibilities and that the animal’s welfare is prioritized. Adopter Responsibilities It is part of our adoption agreement that all medical treatments, veterinary costs, preventatives, food, and shelter are the sole responsibility of the adopter. Our goal is to place each animal in a loving, safe, and permanent home, and these guidelines help us ensure that every adoption is successful for both the pet and the adopter.
