We love a challenge, so we welcomed her with open arms and named her Oma.</div><br/><br/></div><br/><br/><div class="x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a"><br/><br/><div dir="auto">We immediately had her tested for diabetes, thyroid issues, and Cushing's to rule out any medical cause for her condition. Every single test came back perfect. Oma wasn't sickshe was simply severely overweight. Her target weight was estimated to be around 6570 pounds.</div><br/><br/></div><br/><br/><div class="x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a"><br/><br/><div dir="auto">So her foster mom got right to work. Oma started a healthy diet, gentle walks to the best of her ability, and semi-weekly weigh-ins. On top of all this, Oma was also heartworm positive.
