Olson's Story
This is a courtesy post for a wonderful blue heeler mix named Olson. Olson is a well-adjusted four-year old dog living with a large family: children (ages 6 - 17), dogs, and cats, and because of this he has been well socialized. He has a quirky smile that he likes to show off when out walking or just hanging out. He is house trained, walks well on a leash, enjoys his kennel, and has had positive experiences at a dog park. Olson likes having conversations with the family; he talks a lot. It is not barking, although he does do that, but he loves interacting with his people. He is affectionate and well-behaved, and he loves to give you the big smile when you come home. He may be big, but the wiggles, the smiles, the happiness, and the butt scratches make him adorable. Oh, and mornings begin with belly rubs and smiles. Sometimes, he is just simply so ridiculous, you can't help but love him.

Olson is up to date on his shots, is neutered, is house broken, walks well on leash, crates well, and does well with indoor cats. If there are outside cats, he will chase them. He does get overwhelmed at times when the kids are playing and there is a lot of noise. He will remove himself from the activity with barking and, at times, growling. He is not aggressive; he finds the chaos too much.

Olson would need a home with a fenced yard, no chickens, or other outside farm animals.

If you feel you can help Olson find the warmth and care he loves, please feel free to go to pawswi.com and complete the application or call 952.381.5470.

Olson's adoption fee is $150.
