Ollie's Story

Ollie is a 8 year old, 65 pound lab shepherd mix who is so in need of a home and a person of his own. He is great company and a lovable companion. CCR is willing to cover Ollie's vet care for 3 years for a caring, responsible adopter! Ollie has done well in the foster home. He’s housetrained and crate trained and gets along with the foster’s dog but would be fine, and maybe best as the only dog. He is also fine to stay home alone for hours and isn't destructive in any way. Ollie pulls on the leash and is reactive when seeing other dogs on walks but he thinks walks are overrated and would rather hang out with his person or lounge in a sunny fenced yard. He has proven himself to be smart and eager to please. He loves laying next to his current foster while she works on the computer. Canine Caravan Rescue, Inc.'s Adoption Policy

Canine Caravan Rescue requires that potential adopters complete the application (link attached) for any dog you are interested in adopting from us. We also require a home check and will schedule the meeting and the home check at the same time if that works for the potential adopter. If you want to continue with the adoption process at that time, we set up a 2 week trial adoption to make sure that the dog is a good fit for you and that you are a good fit for them. At the end of the 2 week period, if you want to finalize the adoption, we ask that you sign the contract at that time and you have a brand new family member! Our adoption fee is $250 and includes spay/neuter, all age appropriate shots and tests and a microchip. We ask for the funds to be submitted at the beginning of the 2 week trial but return them immediately if for some reason the trial does not work out and the dog is returned to us!
