Ollie's Story

Four adorable infants were abandoned by their owners in an 8x8', 4' tall ‘kennel lot' outdoors on a cold, 38 degree night in Winston Salem. The owners, who left their rental house in the middle of night, tossed the six pets in an absolutely bare lot. In other words, no house, no shelter or cover – not even a tree; and left with no food and no water. Abandoned with zero protection from the elements or from predators, these little boys and girls were left to fend, die or for someone else to care for the owners' irresponsibility.

Two adult females were left with the infants - - mom, now renamed Braeden, and her (thought to be) sister, now known as Auntie Brooke.

Several good Samaritan neighbors reached out and, as is usually the case, dozens of people ‘commented' on social media but none of these commentors actually STEPPED UP. Finally a temporary good Samaritan foster went to the home and picked up the four pack plus the two females. The fosters took the family and babies for a few nights until Godbey Creek could make room as temperatures were to be in the high 30's

Fast forward to today and Arlo, Ollie, SusieQ and Kiki are now healthy, balanced and very sweet playful puppies. The four pack, two boys and two girls, has had their physical health check, puppy vaccines and have been dewormed. These sweet babies are FULL of personality and are some of the best natured puppies we have had. They are lab/hound mix. They don't fuss or fight – ALL are very well balanced just like their mom and auntie.

The spay or neuter and microchip is included in the adoption fee and we require the pups to return for this. If you want to meet one of these eight pound, 9-10 week old puppies, complete an application.
