Ollie's Story

YOU MUST HAVE AN APPROVED APPLICATION IN ORDER TO MEET OUR PETS.

Ollie is an adorable 5 year old, petite 5 and a half pound Toy Poodle who was surrendered by his owner who is a caregiver to elderly parents and working full time and felt she was not able to spend enough time with her pups.

He has been well cared for and loved and is a sweet, friendly little boy. He really is a doll!

He loves to follow you around and enjoys being close but is not a clinger and does not get underfoot.

Ollie seems to adjust well to new people and places.

He is not a yapper, instead a fairly quiet pup.

He is fairly new to leash walking and going out on the leash to potty so we are working with him on that.

Ollie travelled nicely in the car and crate to his foster home in Oak Island NC and is truly a precious soul. He may enjoy having a cushy open crate in his new home to rest in when he wants some quiet time.

He is fine with other sweet little dogs, lived with one in his prior home.

Ollie is used to living with quiet elderly owners so would probably be best in a home with just adults and older teens or well mannered older kids if any children are in the home.

Ollie has worn a belly band most of his life and seems a bit clueless about house training, probably since family was so busy with their own lives they may not have had time to properly train him. Plus, he was not neutered when we got him, just had that done. So, his new family will need to start off with the belly band (he comes with a supply and does not mind them) and work on lots of rewards when he nicely potties outside.

Ollie has such a lovely personality he is worth the extra effort it will take to properly potty train him!

More info coming as we get to know Ollie.

Adoption donation $375.

Please note that we do not ship animals. We also require a home visit before finalizing any adoptions so preference is given to applicants within a 90 mile range. You will be required to come to High Point, NC to meet/pick up your new pet.
