Ollie's Story
Meet Ollie!

Ollie is a 4-year-old Silky Yorkshire Terrier (DOB 6/23/21) weighing just 7 pounds of pure sweetness. With his adorable apricot/beige coloring and soft, medium-length curly coat, this little guy is as cute as they come! Because of his beautiful coat, Ollie will need regular grooming to keep him looking and feeling his best.

Ollie came to Dogworks after living in a private home with two other Yorkies. When his owner was hospitalized, they found themselves looking for another home.

This sweet boy is happiest when he’s close to his person. Ollie is a true little shadow who just wants to snuggle up in your lap while you watch TV. He absolutely loves stuffy toys and will happily chase them if you toss them for him. He’s bright, attentive, affectionate, and has a funny little personality that will keep you smiling. He’s also generous with kisses!

Ollie does well with other dogs and has been around cats, though he thinks chasing them is great fun—so a cat-free home would likely be best. He would thrive in a home with a secure fenced yard appropriate for a small dog. While he walks on a leash and knows basic commands like “come,” “no,” and “off,” he is still working on potty training. He’s had a little trouble with housebreaking, possibly because he doesn’t seem to enjoy being outside—especially in cold or snowy weather. With patience and consistency, he should continue to improve.

He can be a bit unsure about new experiences (the vacuum is not his friend and he will hide from it), but he responds well to gentle verbal correction and is eager to please.

Ollie’s ideal home? One with a warm lap, plenty of stuffy toys, a secure yard, and someone who has time to let this little sweetheart stay close. If you’re looking for a devoted companion who wants nothing more than to love and be loved, Ollie just might be your perfect match.

Ollie is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and is on monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

His adoption fee is $350.

Follow the link below for his adoption application.
