Ollie's Story

This handsome man is Ollie!

Ollie is an approximately 7-year old male Shepherd mix and weighs around 40 lbs. He was adopted as a puppy but returned to the rescue recently due to not adjusting to a move the family made.

It has taken Ollie a few months to come around since he was very sad and confused when he was returned. He had been with his family for almost 5 years! But he has come out of his shell and is doing so much better!

Ollie LOVES to play and will play with you as long as you are able! He loves chew toys and bones.

He can still be somewhat shy around new people, but around people he knows, he is a playful and happy boy! He needs a home that will be patient with him and let him move at his own speed as he adjusts to a new environment. But he will be so worth it! Once he has decided you are his people/person, he is affectionate and loyal.

Ollie can be selective of his friends, so he must meet any other dogs in the household prior to adoption! We also recommend no cats as well. He will need a securely stockade fenced yard!

Ollie is crate and leash trained. Forever Yours Dog Rescue's Adoption Policy
Every dog that is rescued by Forever Yours is checked by a veterinarian, vaccinated, spay/neutered, dewormed, heartworm/ehrlichia tested and treated if needed, and microchipped. We also treat any other illnesses or issues that the dog may have on intake. We require an adoption application (FYDRadopt.com), but we do not require that you give us your first born or the deed to your house to adopt from us. Our adoption fee is $225.00. If available, you will get an opportunity to talk to your chosen pet's foster family when you meet your potential new family member. This will enable you to ask any questions and learn all about your pet. Forever Yours Dog Rescue does not have a facility, all of our wonderful rescues are in foster homes with families that take care of them and love them until their forever homes come along. We are currently not holding adoption events and doing all adoptions through an online application and then setting up individual meetings for potential adopters. Therefore to meet a dog, we ask that you fill out an application so we can see if a good fit first. The application is in no way an obligation for you to adopt.
