Olley's Story

Olley is a precious senior beagle mix (est. 10 yr old) with a lot of spunk for his age, Weighing in at 34 pounds, he LOVES FOOD! He's not a picky eater. He loves food...all food...any food! This super low maintenance little man is about as easy going as they come. He loves a good long nap in a cozy, soft bed. His foster family enjoys his generous snuggles & happy-go-lucky demeanor!

Olley enjoys spending hours in the yard, taking a stroll, and sniffing everything in his path. Olley's past doesn't seem to be filled with love and toys, as his fosters watched him discover what toys were for! What a joy! Once he learned what toys were for, he was hooked! He enjoys playing with his toys and chewing on a good bone. Most of all, Olley loves being loved on by his people and having treats. His tail wags and he runs to his people whenever he sees them. The more pets the better! This senior pup simply wants to share his love & spread his joy!

Olley does well with other dogs, not paying much attention to them. He walks well on a leash, and does well in a crate. Olley's only fault is that he's somewhat protective over his food & needs to be fed in a separate area if other dogs are present. We see this type of resource guarding behavior when they have not had enough food or if they had to fight for food resources in their past.

Olley's adoption fee is $200 & he is up-to-date on all of his vaccines, neutered & microchipped. Unfortunately, Olley tests Heartworm positive, but he is currently being treated by the slow-kill method of treatment. Any adopter will be provided with all the medication to complete his slow-kill treatment cycle.

If you're interested in meeting Olley & seeing if he's a good fit to be a part of your furever family, please complete our short, no obligation, adoption application found here: https://form.jotform.com/mustluvdogs/adoption-application

Please note that the majority of our dogs require a fully fenced yard or secured area, good veterinary history and references, as well as a life-long commitment to be a great family for your pup!

IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED for her new furever family we require the following:

*Her adopter needs a fully secure/fenced yard.
* Experienced pet home with verifiable vet references/history preferred, but we realize that everyone has to start somewhere, so all applications will be considered.
*Verifiable good veterinary history INCLUDING regular vaccination/visits and Good Heartworm Prevention history is a MUST!
*Adopter must be able to have time to spend with the pup and be able to provide the pup a safe environment to live.
*ALL our dogs are expected to be primarily INSIDE dogs. They MUST sleep inside the home. We truly understand that some folks have working dogs (i.e. farmers, ranchers, etc); however, the majority of our dogs have had tough life prior to rescue & we wish to ensure they are showered with LUV & maybe even a bit spoiled for the rest of their lives.

APPLY HERE: https://form.jotform.com/mustluvdogs/adoption-application

Other facts are also considered, including whether children or other pets are a good fit with the dog.

Must Luv Dogs Rescue reserves the right to deny any applications that we don't think are a good fit with the pup. Our first & foremost concern is the dog's best interest. It is our MISSION to place them in a home that is a great fit for their needs for a lifetime of luv & being part of a family.

*We will consider adoptions in any area; however, will do not ship or transport a puppy under the age of 12 mos. We will ONLY transport an adult dog on a transport approved by MLD, at adopter's expense.

Please note that all of our pets are in private foster homes. In order to reduce any stress or confusion for our pups, we require a completed, approved application BEFORE setting up a meeting for any of fur-babies. Alternatively, you are always welcome to come meet any of our pups at one of our regular Adoption Events. They are always posted on PetFinder OR on our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/mustLUVdogs.org.

Finally, THANK YOU for considering Must Luv Dogs for your next pet.

NOTES:
*Most dogs require a fenced area in yard.
*Apartments may be okay for certain breeds IF nearby dog park or walking trails.
*ALL dogs must be INSIDE dogs.
*We are a DUE DILIGENCE Adoption Rescue.
*Must have good Vet history & Heartworm prevention is a MUST!
*ALL dogs are fully vetted, spay/neutered and microchipped.
