Olivia's Story
This sweet, smiling girl came to rescue after a house fire, and while she’s been through a lot, she remains a loving, happy companion who adores people. She's around two years old and weighs about 50lbs. While she can be shy and timid at first, she warms up quickly with treats and gentle attention.

She walks beautifully on leash, loves car rides, and will even do a happy little twirl when she’s excited—especially if there’s a treat involved. Olivia is gentle, affectionate, and a big fan of belly rubs and sunshine. She's not super high-energy, but she needs daily exercise like all dogs.

She prefers smaller dogs and needs slow introductions to new canine friends as she builds confidence. She seems somewhat fearful of larger, more assertive dogs. As you can see in the video, she definitely wants to play with dogs around her size! We aren't sure about cats-- sometimes she tries to chase them through the fence, but other times she totally ignores them.

She hasn't been around kids, but given her deep love for people, we think she'll do fine with older kids-- her bouncy energy might be too much for small children. She has occasional accidents in her kennel, but we expect with a little time to adjust in a home, she'll potty train very quickly.

If you're looking for a loyal, sweet-natured companion who just wants love (and maybe some chicken), Olivia might be your perfect match.

Olivia is vaccinated, spayed and on preventatives. Her adoption fee is $150.

If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting one of our pets, please visit our website and fill out an application: www.northmeckanimalrescue.org
