Olivia's Story

Olivia is a 3 years old tricolor Beagle girl. She’s probably a bit under 30lbs. She’s a mellow, sweet and gentle girl, she’s just shy with new people and new dogs. She loves being with her people once she warms to you. She enjoys walks, she walks good on a leash. Her and Oliver (a male Beagle we’ll post separately) were recently surrendered to us, we were told by their original family that they recently had a new baby, plus they have more kids, so their schedules became busier to own dogs and the dogs were spending all day left in the backyard, unfortunately. So Olivia is not house/potty trained. We’re currently working on crate training to sleep indoors at night and she’s been doing really well. We’ll be looking for a family who will have the time and commitment to properly care for Olivia and train her to become an indoor pet. A Beagle experienced family with a fenced backyard would be great. Olivia and Oliver can be adopted separately or together. They get along well but are not a bonded pair.

Included with adoption:

- Vet wellness exam
- Vaccinations up to date (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies)
- Rabies Certificate
- Fecal test (Pending results)
- Medication (if fecal test comes back positive)
- FLEX4 test (Heartworm, Ehrlichia, Anaplasma and Lyme) (Pending results)
- Heartworm/Flea/Tick/Worm preventive given up to date (Simparica Trio)
- Microchip with prepaid lifetime enrollment (AKC reunite)
- Spay surgery
- Leash and collar with microchip ID collar tag
- Adoption contract
- Some of her current food

Olivia will be ready to be adopted by this weekend. Pick up would be in San Diego, CA. Transportation could be arranged to the right home, if needed.

If Olivia sounds like a good fit for your family, and you’re interested in adopting her, feel free to fill out our adoption application and we’ll get back to you. Adoption fee is $750.

CA Beagles's Adoption Policy
We start providing the info and pics/videos of the dogs available for adoption. When we have a family interested in our dogs we send the adoption application form (we ask several questions and request pictures of the home where the dog would be living at). If the application is approved we move forward with the adoption contract. We meet with the potential adopter and the dog. If all goes well in the meeting the potential adopter can take the dog home after the meeting. Once the dog is adopted we do periodic follow ups to make sure it was a good fit and dog is doing well.
