Oliver

Oliver is a sweet 11-year-old GSD/Husky mix. He's a gentle, affectionate boy who loves people and gets along wonderfully with kids and other dogs. Oliver has a calm, friendly nature - he enjoys lounging near his people just as much as he loves going for a nice walk. On walks, he is non-reactive to other dogs. If they bark at him, he ignores their tirades.<br/><br/>Oliver enjoys riding in the car and is happy to accompany you as you run your errands. Recently, while one of his people had a doctor’s appointment, he patiently waited in the car with his other human. He likes to occasionally look out the window, but content to lay down, relax, and go with the flow.<br/><br/>His family had people over recently for a pre-Christmas celebration and after his initial excitement, within 15 minutes, he completed his greetings and was happy to chill and enjoy the guests. When people started opening their gifts he wanted to help - even went over to one and started taking the paper off a little bit! Who doesn’t like opening gifts!<br/><br/>Oliver enjoys water, but not baths! He thinks he smells just fine, thank you very much! Oliver enjoys being brushed and will allow you to brush all you want. He’ll make sure there is lots of hair to brush, because brushing feels sooo good!<br/>Despite his age, Oliver enjoys time outside in the yard and still gets the zoomies. He may be chill and laid back, but this boy is not lazy! Oliver enjoys fetching his favorite big orange ball when his humans throw it. He still enjoys light activity, casual walks, and short adventures.<br/><br/>Oliver is house trained and knows his basic commands. He is a very well-mannered companion who is happiest being a part of his family. He is neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative and on prevention.<br/>Oliver was adopted from SGSDR as a pup, and unfortunately some life changes mean he is no longer able to stay with his current family. We are hoping to find him a loving stable home where he can enjoy his golden years surrounded by care and companionship.<br/><br/>-------------------<br/>Our Adoption Fees:<br/>-------------------<br/><br/>*Dogs and puppies 12 months old or younger: $450<br/><br/>* Adult dogs over 12 months of age: $400<br/><br/>* Senior dogs over 7 years of age qualify for our "Seniors FUREVER" program! Seniors are special to us, so we offer two options:<br/><br/>(1) If your heart has a special place for the seniors, you can adopt a senior dog for the regular adoption fee of $400 and this becomes a perpetual fee.
