Oliver's Story

Oliver is the kind of dog who quietly works his way into your heart. He's been a favorite of mine since he first arrived at the shelter, and it's been so rewarding to watch his confidence grow with every outing. If there's one way to win Oliver over, it's with a toy! Fetch is his absolute favorite game, and toys are definitely his love language. He happily brings them back without being grabby, and he loves carrying one along on walks like his own little comfort stuffie. While treats aren't a huge motivator for him, toss him a ball and you've got his full attention.Oliver is very housetrained, walks nicely on a loose leash with only mild pulling, and enjoys taking his time to sniff and explore while checking in often with his person. He's neutral around other dogs and people, making him an easy companion for adventures. He even seems happy to coexist with other dogs rather than feeling the need to be the center of attention.Oliver can be a little shy when meeting new people, so he appreciates a patient, go-slow introduction. Once he knows you, though, he's eager to head out for fun. He's an independent guy who doesn't demand constant affection, but he'll happily share his love through games of fetch and quiet companionship. If you're looking for a playful, housetrained, toy-loving buddy who will happily carry his favorite toy wherever life takes him, Oliver just might be your perfect match.
