Oliver's Story
Oliver
5 years old
45 lbs

Meet Oliver — our very own Oliver Twist!

At 5 years old, Oliver might not be a storybook orphan, but much like his namesake, this sweet pup has known hard times and is now searching for a forever home full of love, comfort, and maybe even a second helping of treats.

With his pittie-like body and those unmistakably houndy ears, we think Oliver is a charming terrier/hound mix. He has spent the last 8 months in a loving home but due to the health status of his resident Mom, she can no longer provide safe care for Oliver.

Oliver is the definition of a Velcro dog; he’ll follow you room to room, happy just to be near his person. He’s all about the snuggles and gentle companionship, but like many orphans who’ve had to fend for themselves, he’s a little protective over his food and bones—he prefers not to share, and honestly, who could blame him?

Oliver absolutely loves being around other dogs, and would enjoy having a friend in his forever home. He loves being able to run and play in the yard.

Oliver isn’t a big fan of the crate and may bark when left in one, so he’d do best in a home where he can roam free or where someone is around most of the time to keep him company. He’s a mellow boy who doesn’t ask for much—just a cozy place to nap (he snores loudly and proudly), some tasty treats, and a heart or two to win over.

He rides great in the car, knows how to sit, and is an all-around good boy with a soulful story. His foster mom raves about how easy he is to have around!

If you’ve got room in your heart and home for a loyal, snuggly, treat-loving companion, Oliver is ready to be your very own twist of fate.

Interested in adopting?
