Ole's Story

Ole is available under our VFA Program. VFA stands for Volunteer - Foster - Adopt. Interested adopters will volunteer at our shelter and meet Ole. Ole will need to meet you several times before he will start to become comfortable with you. Volunteers bond with our more challenging dogs by providing for their needs without pushing affection on them. Letting them out, cleaning their kennels, providing food and treats, and eventually offering affection is going to be the only way Ole will trust you.

This fun boy will be your best buddy once he decides he likes you. He would not be a good fit for a home with children or a home with lots of visitors. Ole is very fearful of strangers. He does have a significant heart murmur but is also very high energy. He is potty trained and has the cleanest kennel at the shelter. He does not rip up his bed or toys. He does a little dance for treats and his favorite thing is doing his zoomies around the yard.
