Olaf's Story
My name is Olaf — yes, like the cheerful snowman from “Frozen”. A pretty fitting name for a handsome white fellow, don’t you think? At 6 years old, I’ve just been granted early retirement after spending most of my life as a stud for a commercial breeder. Now it’s finally my turn to learn what being a real family dog is all about.

Once I’m comfortable in my surroundings, I am an extremely social and friendly little guy. I enjoy the company of both two-legged and four-legged friends, and I may even be able to coexist with a feline roommate (a proper meet-and-greet would be wise, just to be sure).

My future family should know that I come with a learning curve — especially when it comes to toilet training. Until now, this simply wasn’t a life skill I needed, so I’ll be starting from square one. That means patience, consistency, and understanding will be key. As a male, I also have some marking habits to work through, but the good news is this: I truly want to please, and I’m motivated by praise, routine … and especially tasty treats!

I’m discovering that walks are actually fun — and an excellent opportunity to practise this whole “doing my business outside” concept. I’m making progress every day with guidance and structure.

One important note: apartment or condo living wouldn’t be the right fit for me. I’m quick to sound the alarm, and close neighbours may not appreciate my enthusiasm for announcing things.

So, are you the kind, patient person ready to give me my first real home and help me learn the skills I never had the chance to develop? If so, please fill out the application form — I’m more than ready to start this next chapter.

BREED
Havanese
GENDER
Male
AGE
6 years
SIZE
Small (13 lbs)
CHILDREN
8+
DOG FRIENDLY
Yes
CAT FRIENDLY
TBD
ENERGY LEVEL
Medium
GROOMING LEVEL

TO APPLY FOR ADOPTION OF THIS DOG, PLEASE VISIT OUR WEB SITE: www.animatch.ca AND FILL THE APPLICATION ON LINE.
*** calls and e-mails will not be answered ***
