MEET ROCKY! - LOCATED IN CHECOTAH, OKLAHOMA
TYPE: Goldendoodle

COAT TYPE: Soft mixed Wool/Fleece, Light to Non-Shedding coat. Will require grooming every 6-8 weeks

ENERGY LEVEL: Active, but easy going, well mannered and settles beautifully after exercise. Need daily exercise and stimulation.

Rocky is a stunning, 1 year old, Goldendoodle boy who through no fault of his own, is needing a new “ furever" home and family. Rocky's family are being forced to downsize and relocate. Circumstances and restrictions would make it difficult for Rocky's family to continue to provide him with all the time, attention and quality of life that he is accustomed to and so deserves. His mom tells us:

"Rocky is such an amazing dog. He is a very sweet loving boy. He follows me around the house non stop and loves to be right next to us. Unfortunately, we are having to sell our home and downsize to our RV and feel it would be very unfair to poor Rocky to subject him to this lifestyle change when he needs and is accustomed to having a yard and room to run. He is still a puppy, is very high energy. He is completely house-trained, food/treat motivated but still needs consistency, routine and some help with his leash manners. He likes to jump up on you when he greets but he is pretty gentle about it. He will occasionally get into mischief if left on his own unsupervised or if not given proper attention and exercise. But he is the sweetest, most loving teddy bear! He is very attached to our other dog and definitely needs another well-mannered dog for companionship. "

Rocky is a love and like most young Doodles, needs time, attention and plenty of exercise. He is completely house-trained, knows basic commands and LOVES to snuggle up close with his peeps. He could use some practice with his leash manners. Rocky has always lived with other dogs. He will need at least one other well mannered, resident dog for companionship in his new home. He is also accustomed to being allowed on furniture.

Rocky will need an active, patient, dog-savvy family and a home with a larger yard surrounded by a physical fence. He will also need another well-mannered, resident dog(s) for companionship. Homes with dog-experienced, age-appropriate children will be considered for Rocky. He is neutered, UTD on all shots and preventatives, is completely house-trained. Rocky will be a wonderful addition to the right home and family.

DRC Adoption donations typically range from: $300 - $600 and vary according to the age, health, temperament and location of each dog. Every doodle is an individual and every doodle has his/her own specific needs and requirements. Adopters are selected based on compatibility, NOT on a "first come, first serve basis. At no time does DRC ever put the desires of applicants before or above the needs and requirements of rescue doodles in our program.
