Ohno's Story

Meet Ohno! Ohno, as in Olympic speed-skater Apolo Ohno; Ohno, as in "Oh, no - he's on the run!" On his first night out of the shelter, Ohno escaped and bolted. He was on the run for nearly 24 hours before being caught! This dude is FAST! Because of his propensity to escape a yard and because he's very difficult to catch, his adoptive family must agree to taking extra precautions, such as supervising him any time he's outside, even in a securely fenced yard (he is a digger, but when supervised, he is content to hang with his people).

From what we have seen, that is Ohno's only bad habit! This 1 - 2 year old, 20 pound, wire-haired terrier mix (maybe Westie? Maybe Scottie?) is cute and lovable and silly and has amazing manners! He's already house broken and crate trained. He is wonderful with other dogs and he loves people, too! Ohno adores getting attention, head pats, snuggles, and belly rubs. He's a pretty chill dude, especially given his young age, and he spends a lot of time just watching the world go by. He walks well on a leash. He likes to quietly hang out under a bar stool or under the coffee table in the same room as his foster family. He is happy to get picked up and carried around, or held on a lap for extra attention. Ohno is a very affectionate love bug! ...

We are a small foster home based rescue in Wichita Kansas. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and heart worm tested. We foster the dogs in our homes in order to socialize them and help them to be the best companions for their adoptive owners. Because we require a home visit prior to making an adoption, we only adopt in the Wichita area.
