Odie's Story
The first 8 months of Odie’s life are unknown. When he was found on the street in January, he appeared to be covered in animal waste and grossly underweight. His eyes were reddened and sad.

How’s he doing now? He is well on his way to being a very good boy! He is fully housebroken and interacts regularly with a 9-year-old child, and he responds well to attention from any human who offers it. He leans into people for that full-bodied hug that he knows everyone needs.

He takes a little bit to warm up to new dogs, but once he is comfortable he is a solid snuggle bunny and playmate. His foster family has three dogs who he regularly interacts with and a resident cat who occasionally sleeps beside Odie.
Odie loves love. He will love on to any human or animal who wants to send any kind of good love his way. Odie can also be the only dog in the home and is not required to have another dog to live with.

He is looking for his forever family to continue modeling what good love looks and feels like. His foster family is impressed by his ability to learn and adapt to this new life he was destined to live. He can be jealous of attention when his people are giving him attention so an adopter that can manage that and set boundaries if another dog is in the home is ideal for him.

Adopt Odie and be part of his second chance. His past may be behind him, but his future? That’s where you come in.

Apply to adopt at rescueapittie.org
Est DOB 5/1/2024
