Oden's Story

Hi there, I'm Oden, one of the shelter's sweetest, most handsome pitties. I love people and other dogs, although I can sometimes be selective with my canine friends. I am house-trained and walk well on a leash. I'm about 60 pounds, although you'd never know that was at the other end of the leash, as I always try so hard to be a perfect gentleman. The shelter staff and volunteers taught me basic commands. I have been with a foster family, and here's what my foster Mom had to say:

Oden has done so well here! He absolutely loves car rides, trips to Tractor Supply, and the beach. My husband took him into the shoe store in Gloucester, VA, where he greeted multiple people. He is not reactive to dogs or people. We have walked him with our large and small dogs with absolutely no issues. He loves to play but loves cuddling even more. We wish we could keep him, but we have so many dogs already. We really want him to find a loving forever home of his own.

His ideal home may include another dog - depending on the dog. No children is probably best because he can be nippy when he gets excited. He’s very well-mannered when walking, and he loves LOVE!
