Octavian's Story

Meet Octavian — a sweetheart with a silly streak and a whole lot of heart! He traveled all the way from Puerto Rico with his siblings, Oreo and Dutchess, and is settling into Colorado life with the gentle curiosity of a pup discovering that the world is a safe, fun place. Octavian can be a little nervous at first, but every day he grows more confident, and once he warms up, his playful spirit shines through. He’s the kind of puppy who makes you laugh with his antics and melt with his sweetness.

Octavian gets along wonderfully with other dogs and charms everyone he meets. He’s still a young puppy, so kids should expect the usual sharp baby teeth, but his friendly nature suggests he’ll do well with respectful children. His leash skills are a work in progress, and he’s making great strides with crate and potty training. He’s also very food-motivated, which makes training fun and rewarding.

Currently close to just 10 pounds, Octavian is expected to grow into a sturdy, portable companion — perfect for adventures and snuggles alike. After a good play session, he loves curling up for cuddles, reminding you just how soft and affectionate he really is.

Like most satos (mixed-breed dogs from Puerto Rico), Octavian’s exact breed mix is anyone’s guess, but his loving personality is unmistakable. He is up to date on vaccinations and awaiting neuter and microchipping. We anticipate he’ll grow into a medium-sized adult, possibly around 30–40 pounds.

If you’re looking for a loyal, entertaining, and tenderhearted friend to grow with, Octavian may be the perfect addition to your family.

Adoption Details:
If you’re interested in adopting Octavian, please fill out the application here:
https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/BSCO/Dog

We ask for a $400 donation as the adoption fee to help cover medical services and transport.
