Her previous family misses her very much, and stays in touch; we are happy to share her full story upon request.<br/>What Obsidian Needs<br/>A Canine Companion: Obsidian needs a "dog's friend"-either a dog you already have at home or a best friend she can play with regularly.<br/>Off-Leash Time: She isn't much for tug-of-war or fetch; instead, she wants to run like a "space rocket!" We give her one hour of off-leash time a day, which keeps her very happy.<br/>Obedience Training: She loves a mental challenge. Because she is extremely food-motivated, training feels like a game to her. We will provide a list of everything she knows and would be happy to help you continue her progress.<br/>The Right Family: She would do best with children over 6 years old who understand how to be gentle and patient. She needs active people who can provide daily walks or a large garden where she can run, and-most importantly-loving people to cuddle with.<br/>What We Love About Her<br/>Professional Cuddler: You will understand if you take her home<br/>Personality: She is a "princess" who is very self-aware; she has distinct moods and is highly intuitive to your emotions.<br/>Loyalty on the Trail: Her recall is excellent. While she likes to wander and explore, she always wants to know where "the pack" is. If you hide, she will come find you.<br/>Beauty & Grace: She is a stunning, athletic dog. It is a joy to watch her perform her "funny jumps" when she's running off-leash.<br/>Why is she still available?<br/>Obsidian used to be very shy and wouldn't let strangers interact with her, which made adoptions difficult. However, we have been working hard on her training, and she is making wonderful progress!<br/>Don't expect her to jump into your arms immediately. Instead, join us for a walk to meet her! We are happy to make arrangements so she can warm up to you before a three-day adoption trial. She will always be welcome in our home, but we are praying to find her the perfect forever match. She truly deserves it."
