Obi's Story

EXCITING NEWS!!!

Does anyone recognize this handsome face?! Well, for those who don’t, this is Obi. Obi has a long, complicated story, but we are here to find his happy ending. So welcome to WOM, Obi!

In 2020 Obi was brought in to the Bucksport Animal Shelter as a stray and was never claimed. We assumed he was a hunting dog turned loose, as he was quite thin and wild at heart. Obi was not house broken and knew zero manners. I spent the winter getting to know the crazy hound and soon quickly fell in love. He spent 9 months at the shelter before he was adopted…

In 2022, Obi was spontaneously dropped off at the shelter again. Determined to get it right this time, we dedicated to finding the perfect home for Obi. But the shelter is limited and there Obi sat.. For another year and a half.

Because What’s One Moore is a foster based rescue, we will get the chance to see Obi in a home. While we have known Obi for quite some time, we are excited to get to know this new (gray faced) Obi. What we do know is that he is good with other calm dogs, is crate trained, house broken (yay!), is good with respectful children and absolutely no cats.

Here’s to no more nights sleeping alone, Obi ??
