She’s friendly with both people and other dogs and loves getting out to explore on walks, nose to the ground and ears flapping in the breeze.<br/>Oakley would do best with a person or family familiar with hounds who understand their sometimes quirky nature and can help her continue to thrive. She’s had a few accidents, which are likely due to the stress of shelter life, and with consistency and patience in a home environment, she’s expected to settle in nicely.<br/>Not a fan of the cold, Oakley prefers to stay cozy, but don’t worry, she wears her coat with style and charm! Sweet, curious, and full of classic hound personality, Oakley is ready for a home that appreciates her endearing qualities, gentle nature, and love for exploring the world one sniff at a time.<br/><br/>---<br/><br/>We do not adopt on a first-come-first-serve basis, but rather by the best match between dog and family, although we will factor in the order of applications if there are equally good matches.<br/><br/>Our adoption fee for adult dogs is $500 which covers the costs of vetting (spay, vaccinations, heartworm testing, preventatives while in our care, deworming and microchip) and any boarding or transport fees incurred in each dog's rescue. Senior dogs are $250.
