Oak's Story

Meet Oak, a 6-month old Australian Cattle Dog mix from Alabama. Oak is speedy, playful, and smart. He is very handsome with black and white speckles, big upright ears, and athletic build for all the playing he enjoys doing. He is shy with new folks, but give it a day or two and he will adore you. He loves playing in the yard with pals, is fast, fearless, and full of adventure. Oak loves exploring, making new dog friends, and living every day like it's his own action movie! He recently discovered the joys of attacking the water stream as it comes out of a hose (hilarious!). He is also happy cuddled up on the couch getting loved on. He is learning to love his leash walks and as long as he has a pup pal to inspire him, he does great. We expect him to be between 40-50 pounds fully grown. Oak would do well in a home with a yard to run in and a family with an active lifestyle. He is still young, so he will need some training (just like any young pup does). With a little time and patience from you he will learn in no time. Oak is eager and ready to be a part of your family!

Australian Cattle Dogs are true-blue loyalists, famously smart, tenacious, ever alert, and may be wary of strangers. It is recommended that ACD owners participate in some sport or regular exercise to keep the dog mentally and physically fit.
