At the end of 2024 a rescue person saw Nyssa and that she was hugely pregnant, she did everything she could to get Nyssa into a rescue but it didn't happen. Nyssa had her babies on the ground. Rescue person was watching her and as Nyssa finished delivering she scooped up Nyssa and babies and now begged every rescue she knew. I folded and said yes. I caught up to mom and babies a few days later. <br/><br/>Nyssa was an amazing mom. But this litter kicked our butt. From the tiniest runt I have ever seen, to puppies with so many medical issues. All have been vetted, fixed and now adopted out. Leaving just mom. <br/><br/>I took mom in for her spay, this girl, bolted from the car, raced to the door of the clinic, begged to get in, tried to break down the door and when the door finally opened she ran to the back room and stood in front of the kennel's as to ask which one was hers. After three known litters of puppies she was DONE. <br/><br/>Nyssa LOVES car rides, I honestly think she lived in a car at some point. If she is ever missing here we just have to look in the cars, she will jump in and wait for a ride. Sometimes we just leave the van wide open and allow her to just be in a car. It's her happy spot. <br/><br/>Lately we have had her out back where she loves laying on the deck in the sun and working on her Nyla bones. She is kenneled at night for bed time. She gets along well with all dogs her size (she weighs roughly 65 pounds) so she is a part of every play group here. A play group is where 2-3 dogs are out back at once. They can play, lounge do what ever. She has never challenged the fence. She is very curious about the outside cats, but doesn't have access to them. She is NOT cat tested or small dog tested. <br/><br/>Recently she went on a trial run. With that we have found she doesn't like small screaming kids, kids that bounce around and run and scream. It makes her anxious. I saw this when her kids were older and up and running amok, it really made her anxious. She didn't lash out or anything, but her face was asking for quiet. So with that we are looking for a house with older kids, a family that understands she loves laying outside, and it's ok. A house with no small dogs or cats. Dogs her size she does amazing with. <br/><br/>Nyssa is about 4 years old, she is spayed and vaccinated, and microchipped.<br/><br/>Nyssa requires a fenced yard.<br/><br/>She is currently being fostered in Rochester.
