Nutmeg's Story

Meet Nutmeg!

Nutmeg is a 5-year-old pit bull mix weighing about 44 pounds, though she could benefit from gaining a little weight to be her healthiest self. This sweet girl is looking for a fresh start after her owner was no longer able to keep her—and she’s ready to fill her next home with love and tail wags.

Nutmeg has lived with other dogs and does well with them, and she’s also cat-friendly—making her a great addition to a multi-pet household. She is crate trained and settles in nicely when needed. She is also good in a car, and does well on walks!

This happy, playful pup absolutely loves having fun, especially when it comes to toys… though she tends to destroy them, so durable options are a must! Nutmeg is also allergic to chicken, so her future family will need to be mindful of her diet.

Nutmeg is as sweet and lovable as they come. She thrives on attention, enjoys playtime, and has a joyful spirit that shines through. She would do best in a home that can offer patience and is willing to continue working on her training to help her be the best girl she can be.

If you’re looking for a fun-loving, affectionate companion who’s ready to grow with you, Nutmeg might be your perfect match

Visit STAF.org for more information on our adoption process and our adoption application.

*** Email adoptadog@STAF.org for next steps! ***

• All of our animals are spayed/neutered and current on shots.
• We do not do same-day adoptions. You will be asked to return for at least one follow-up visit, then take the dog home for a trial period before officially adopting.
• You must be 21 years or older to adopt from STAF.
• Due in part to increasing coyote activity/incidents in the area and the difficulty of predicting how a dog will respond to invisible fence training, we can not adopt to homes with invisible fences.
• We do request vet and personal references.
• We can facilitate adoptions within a 30-mile radius of our Cincinnati-based shelter.
