Nutmeg's Story
Meet Nutmeg! ?

Nutmeg is new to PUPR. She is maybe a mix between a fox terrier, chihuahua or min pin about 19 lbs. We estimate her age about 8 months to maybe a year old. She is petite but fast and loves to be outside. She loves to go on walks and explore. See, she has never had a life before. She was in a hoarding situation where her rescuer saved her and reached out to us for help. She was covered in feces, urine and her little paw pads were scarred from living in it all.

This little girl may need extra attention but deserves a life of love. Nutmeg will need a confident home to help her trust humans. She is very fast and an active little girl, but once she trusts you, she is the biggest cuddler. She gives little kisses and curls up under the blankets with you.

Nutmeg may thrive better in a home with another dog. Probably no children due to her fear of humans at the moment. A fenced yard would be a plus so she can run and enjoy the outdoors. She loves to chase squirrels and rabbits in the back yard. She is great on a leash, knows sit already and is doing very well on the recall command. She doesn’t know how to play with toys yet ? but we hope she will learn.

Please consider this sweet girl. She would love a home for the holidays.

Nutmeg’s wants:
** a patient, confident home
** another dog to help her confidence and teach her that humans are okay
** no small children (will scare her too much)
** daily walks and exploring outdoors
** socialization
** she mut have a fenced yard to run
** food, she loves food and is treat motivated
** windows to look out of! She loves windows.

Nutmeg has had a health check, vaccinations , heart worm prevention, flea & tick treatment, baths and a micro chip. She still needs to be spayed but don’t worry, we take care of that.

Adoption fee: $350.00
