Nova - Meet by Appointment's Story

At just 2 years old and around 55 pounds, Nova is a beautiful pittie mix bursting with energy, enthusiasm, and love. This girl is always ready for action! Whether it’s a long walk around the neighborhood, a lively game of fetch, or a good round of tug, Nova is happiest when she’s moving and engaging with her person.

Her absolute favorite activity? Car rides! Nova will gladly be your co-pilot anytime, anywhere. Need to run errands? She’s in. Weekend road trip? Even better. She’s always ready to hop in and hit the road.

Nova is a strong, athletic girl and will do best with a confident, strong handler who can continue guiding her. She truly thrives with training and loves having a job to do. Smart as can be, Nova already knows sit, down, paw, and “other paw,” and she’s eager to learn even more. Keeping her mind busy is just as important as keeping her body active!

During her time in foster care, Nova showed off her excellent house manners. She was a wonderful houseguest who enjoyed cozy cuddle time with her foster mom after a day of fun. She absolutely adores her toys and will happily carry them around wherever she goes — her prized possessions!

Nova can be wary of new people, especially men, and would feel most comfortable in a quiet, predictable, adult-only home where she can build trust at her own pace. Once she bonds with you, she is deeply loyal and affectionate. She prefers to be the only dog in the home so she can soak up all the love and attention, but she has previously lived with a cat and done very well.
