Nova - In Foster's Story
Meet Nova 🌟 — an almost 2-year-old mixed breed, about 50 lbs, with a gentle heart and a quiet sparkle that grows brighter every day.

Nova’s story didn’t start out easy. She was found abandoned and tied outside during the heat of summer, but thanks to a kind rescuer, she made her way to safety and into a loving foster home. Now she’s thriving — and ready for the next chapter: a forever home of her very own.

In foster care, Nova has shown just how special she is. She loves going for walks with her foster mom, and her leash manners are improving daily. She’s a smart cookie who is both food- and toy-motivated, making training fun and rewarding. When playtime rolls around, Nova’s athletic side shines — she loves fetch and can seriously catch some air going after her ball.

At home, Nova is an absolute dream. She has wonderful house manners and is fully house trained, crate trained, and comfortable being left home alone. One of her favorite pastimes? Curling up on her foster mom’s lap to watch TV, then snuggling into bed for some cozy cuddle time. 🛋️💤

Nova can be shy at first, and she’s looking for a patient, understanding adopter who will give her the time and space she needs to build trust and settle in. Once she feels safe, she blossoms into a loving, loyal companion. She would do best in an adult-only home where things are calm and predictable.

She has passed her cat test at the shelter and does fine passing other dogs on walks, but Nova would prefer to be the only dog in the home — she’s happy keeping to herself and soaking up all the love.

If you’re looking for a sweet, athletic, and affectionate girl who just needs a little patience to shine, Nova might be your perfect match.
