Nova's Story
Nova is a small mixed-breed girl, about 2–3 years old and around 15 lbs. She is very sweet and gentle, especially once she feels safe. Nova may take a little time to warm up to new people, but when she does, she forms a strong bond and loves affection, cozy time, and being close to her person. With other dogs, Nova does best with slow, thoughtful introductions and time to settle in. She can be unsure at first but gains confidence as she gets comfortable. She is especially bonded with her buddy Cosmo, and the two do great together. They can be adopted as a pair or separately into the right homes. Nova will benefit from some basic training and continued leash work, but more than anything, she needs a calm, patient home where she can decompress and build confidence at her own pace. In the right environment, Nova will blossom into a loyal, loving companion who just wants to feel safe and secure.<br/> A peaceful home, gentle guidance, and lots of love will help Nova truly thrive. She has not met any small kids yet, and due to her stranger danger, would do best in a home with older kiddos who know boundaries well
