NOVA - ARRIVING JANUARY 24TH's Story

Caleb’s Opus is so excited to introduce you to NOVA!

Not long ago, NOVA was dumped at a truck stop south of Jackson, Mississippi. A little over a year old, weighing 52lbs

Alone. Confused. And heartbreakingly close to an area known for dog fighting.
We honestly cringe when we think about what could have happened to her. The danger she was unknowingly in. The future she narrowly escaped. It’s enough to take your breath away.

Instead of that fate, NOVA our Southern partner saw a post and sent someone to get her. NOVA then landed in a foster home with a ton of experience and incredibly an opening for our girl to be welcomed into. With all that experience, all those dogs loved and let go — these fosters say NOVA is one of the best dogs they have ever fostered. Truly amazing. Gentle. Loving. Sweet. The kind of dog who quietly steals your heart without even trying.
And yet… someone still left her behind.

Today, Caleb’s Opus is welcoming NOVA into our rescue family. We don’t see a discarded dog — we see a survivor. A soul who deserved safety all along. A girl who should never have had to be so brave.

These photos tell a story of more than rescue. They show the difference between danger and protection. Between being forgotten and being chosen. Between what almost was… and what will be.

Welcome to Caleb’s Opus, NOVA. You are safe now. You are cherished. And your story is far from over.

Could you be NOVA’S Family? Please go to www.calebsopus.org for an application!

All dogs are spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. Note: Caleb's Opus is licensed to adopt in the State of Maine.
