Hi, my name is Nova! I’m a sweet little hound pup with the cutest personality. Like any true hound, I love to use my nose—I’ll give you a quick sniff and once-over before inviting you into my space. The staff say I have plenty of puppy energy, but that just means I’ll be the perfect playmate for a family who enjoys running, playing, and adventuring with me. Right now, I share my days with two puppy friends, and we have a blast playing together. I’d really love to have more space of my own someday, instead of sharing a kennel. Everyone here tells me I’ll get picked in no time, but I hear the clock ticking, and I’m so ready to leave this loud shelter behind for a cozy, loving home. If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, and sniff-tastic family companion, I might just be your perfect match.

Madison County Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy

Potential adopters are able to meet and greet with any adoptable animals. If they are interested in adopting anyone they will need to fill out an adoption application. The adoption application includes general care information, landlord and home information, as well as background. If the application is approved, adopters are given the option to pick out a leash, harness, collar, and toys for their new pet. Shelter ensures that all appropriate needs are met (they should have had: Microchip, vaccines ect) adoption fee is paid, and then adopters can take their pets home!
