Nova's Story

Nova is a beautiful, 64 pound Shepherd/Cur mix with a good disposition. She loves the other dogs she came in with, but is not a huge fan of some others. She is a well-mannered, good girl who is attentive to directions. She knows how to sit on command and enjoys running in the yard. Nova is already spayed and housebroken. She loves people and she loves treats. She is currently at the shelter waiting to meet people with treats to share.

Volunteers For Animals / Genesee County Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy

There is a $60 NON-REFUNDABLE FEE for all animals which needs to be cash or a check - NO CREDIT CARDS. If the animal is not spayed or neutered there is a $35 REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT upon proof of surgery. An adoption application must be filled out at the Shelter by the person wishing to adopt the animal. Once the application has been reviewed and approved the potential adopter may visit and meet any of the animals. If you live in Genesee County, all dogs must be licensed BEFORE leaving the Shelter. Please note that public offices that license dogs are not open on the weekends. All dogs must leave the Shelter on a leash. Please bring a leash. All cats must leave the Shelter in a cat carrier. Please bring a cat carrier
