Nova's Story

Nova is a 1½-year-old pittie mix with just under 50 lbs of pure energy and determination. Found abandoned and tied up outside, she’s come a long way and is ready to find a home that can match her zest for life.

Nova is a smart, spirited girl with a ball obsession like no other—seriously, ball is life for her. Toss it, chase it, retrieve it—she’s in her element. A ball in her mouth can even help her navigate new or stressful situations, giving her confidence to face the world. She’s less about cuddles and more about playtime, so if you’re looking for a fetch partner who never quits, Nova is your girl.

A sharp and trainable lady, Nova already knows sit, down, stay, paw, other paw, and is working on drop it. Her sensitive skin means she does best on a salmon-based, limited ingredient diet and fish oil supplements to keep her feeling her best. Nova prefers to keep other dogs at a distance but isn’t reactive—she’d rather ignore them if she can. She is also a car-savvy girl, happy to accompany you on adventures near or far.

If you’re looking for a playful, energetic companion who’s all about games, fetch, and keeping life exciting, Nova is ready to be your forever playmate.
