Nova was owner-surrendered to a local Veterinary Clinic because she had a badly injured back leg. The puppy's owners were not willing or able to have the leg repaired. Bad news for Nova. Thankfully, the Vet called our rescue, we agreed to take this little girl into rescue, and immediately made arrangements to repair the break. Sadly it was not repairable, and Nova became a 3-legged dog.<br/><br/>She has now spent a week in foster care, recuperating from the trauma of the injury, and then amputation. In spite of all this, she remains a sweet girl, gives kisses easily, and just wants to be near people. She knows some commands, and is already potty-trained. She regards her crate as her safe haven, and chooses to not only sleep in it at night, but also naps during the day with her Stuffy Lamb. <br/><br/>Nova will not be placed for another month, due to her injury.
